Alexandra Damiano graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from the Philadelphia Art Institute, earned a certificate in High Fashion Patternmaking from Istituto di Moda Burgo in Milan, and has studied recreational Fashion Photography at Parsons Paris in France. Alexandra has done technical design and patternmaking work for a multitude of fashion and apparel companies including Oscar de la Renta and Jen Kao in New York as well as established independent designers and start-up brands. She is the designer and founder of Damiano Collection, a Philadelphia based all-natural womenswear brand produced by independent artisans. With over 10 years of well-rounded experience in the apparel industry, working 6 of those years as a Designer for Manufactured Efficiency at a domestic apparel production company, Alexandra has developed a unique industry perspective. Her passion for patternmaking has lead her to accept a primary teaching role at Made Institute where she guides students through the early stages of draping and technical patternmaking, overseeing their final course as they create diverse and intricate patterns for their collections. Her deep understanding of production processes and manufacturing efficiency methods has lead her to parter with Rachel Ford, the founder of Made Institute, to offer a new and innovative business model for product development and small-batch artisanal manufacturing; Drop Culture.

Rachel brings 15 years of fashion industry experience with a focus on business development, sewing, patternmaking, and production.
A graduate from Drexel University’s Fashion Design Program, Rachel has since worked in design, production, and education for Free People, Arden Theater, Opera Philadelphia, Moore College of Art, Art Institute, Madonna (costumes), Rhianna (costumes), M. Night Shayamalan (costume production).
Rachel serves on the Advisory Board of The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator and is the Regional Director (Elect) for Fashion Group International, Philadelphia Chapter.
She has been a mentor to her many students and clients through Made Institute for the past 7 years, and is excited to bring her expertise to Drop Culture.

Founder of Blue Bangs, a sustainable fashion brand that creates unique pieces from carefully selected vintage clothing. With previous design experience at Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters and QVC, Robyn brings a breadth of expertise from both the luxury and fast-fashion sector.

We work with in-house trained sewing experts for micro-manufacturing solutions, bringing high quality to low minimums. Locally made starts here.
Located in the Spring Arts Loft District, our studio comes equipped with industrial equipment, large tables, dye sink, showroom space, and a growing community of designers and makers.
